Lost Part 3
Sunday, May 27th, 2007 04:19 pmSo we made it to Season 2 episode 9 last night. Poor Shannon. I just love the little details that the show does. It's like Heroes. Everyone is connected.
Like the episode where its revealed that Shannon's dad died. And there's Jack walking right in front of the doctor giving the bad news. Which of course, prompted to remember the other driver in Sarah's accident that Jack didn't work on because the stupid assistant dude couldn't intibate. So Jack chose Sarah over Shannon's dad. That bothered me for the rest of the episodes that I watched last night. Did Shannon ever know that Jack picked Sarah over her dad? Will that ever be revealed? Only time will tell, but with Shannon dead, will it matter anyway?
Other small details include when Jin was delivering Sun's dad's message, the time he recieves the dog as a gift. The little girl is watching TV and there's Hurley. I just love those little things.
I loved the whole Sawyer/Christian moment. And Sawyer actually got some credit from me for telling Jack about that moment. Sawyer actually gave out information that did not benefit him. Amazing!
Also I watched the first 30 minutes of the Lost recap they did before the Season 3 finale, so I know some things. Like I know who Desmond is. I laughed when he met Jack. How silly. It's a small world. But then, everyone is connected.
And I love the people they have guest. Robert Patrick. Leela, I mean Katy Segal.
Also I just love perusing IMdB for random trivia. I really live for trivia. I find it fascinating. As a matter of fact, I have a tendency to keep my husband up late at night talking about trivia rather than sleeping. Anyway, I hear that Josh Holloway aka Sawyer was offered a role as Gambit in Xmen 3 the worst Xmen movie... I mean the Last Stand, but he turned it down because it was too similar to Sawyer. I was just thinking last night that Sawyer is pretty much a Gambit character. He's too cool for school. He's got the accent. Of course, he doesn't do anything cool like charge cards with kinetic energy, but he's got the Gambit vibe. Now, I'm a huge Gambit fan, but not so much a huge Sawyer fan. We have to have Sawyer around, he keeps things interesting, but he doesn't fill the Gambit shoes. He'd need more of a tragic backstory. Or more of a tragic love story. Or maybe he'd just need to be more helpful to the other survivors. I'm not sure exactly what it is. He's right on the cusp of being Gambit, but there's one thing that's a little off about him that keeps that idea from cementing in my head. There just isn't any honor among thieves with him. Gambit don't care 'bout nobody. But that doesn't mean that he's going to ... no it's just the fact that he doesn't have glowing red eyes. Sigh, Sawyer. You were so close. But thank you for not playing Gambit in that horrible movie.

ETA It seriously seems like you either guest star on CSI: Miami and then move right on over to the Lost set or vice versa.
ETA2 ROFLcopter. Bernard aka Rose's husband has been in all three of the CSIs. CSI: Miami first, appearing the first episode (not the pilot crossover episode), then CSI (Vegas) and lastly on CSI: NY.
