Fan Fiction Woes
Friday, April 14th, 2006 08:36 pmI found a really juicy and good one with pairings I hadn't expected to like. But the writing was so great! And then I read the 6th installment only to realize it had been posted today and ... is incomplete!! WOE. ALAS. ANGST!
TBC I'll just link it here so I remember to come back later. The author is Italian or something and still her character development is great.
On a side note, I just put this customer on hold without saying please hold because she was just getting snooty with me when her payment was reversed. HER FAULT!
ETA And that lady is totally threatening to ruin my mood. I won't let her because she's not worth my time. But add to that, my radiator busted while I was at lunch today. Woe. Angst. Sadness. But not really.
ETA2: I was just thinking, if I were a character from CSI Miami. I would be a cop like Hagen. Customer focused in an I have to have the upper hand kind of way. I recently did some research on my grandfather. I couldn't remember when he died and that bothered me. I just never got anything to mark the occasion because I was too young. And I couldn't visit his grave. It's 800 something miles away. But he retired from the Air Force to become a cop. He retired after 16 years with the force as a captain of detectives. He's quoted in the paper as saying "I don't care who they are, you can't take away their dignity. If you do, they're going to fight you." I've been mulling that over. I don't want to be a Hagen cop. I want to be a Horatio, Calleigh, Dave Robbins cop.
