Rash of posts!

Hey, I don't post that much during the week. Pardon me for another one!
But sheesh! Rude people on the phone. I love the "Entitled" department at work. I'm not actually going to call them by their real name in the entry. It will be the entitled department.
I call and I forget to verify the new address which was verify by another rep and all of a sudden I get this sigh in my ear like 'what's wrong with you?' Many things are wrong with me, but I chose to take a break when they bother me instead of taking it out on whoever is on the other line. I think respect is something to be evaluated. Sure there's a queue, but my attitude can also be either respectful or disrespectful. Think about that, Entitlement Department.
I've called and been sighed at, yawned at, grumbled at. What makes you so amazing that you can sigh in my ear, but I can be friendly? Do you not like your job in the Entitlement Department?
Ok, enough about the Entitlement Department. I really need to get back to work. But the rudeness of the ED really needs to be documented.

Date: 2005-09-02 07:36 pm (UTC)I don't think their entitlement comes from "haven't I suffered enough?" But rather that they have the most seniority and have belittled the jobs of others in the company. I've spoken to a few in that department (and there are some really great ones there too so let's just get that out of the way) and somehow they've got the idea that they have my job but glorified. So obviously the feeling is that they can do my job better and any call they get is because someone in my department can't do their job right or didn't try. Which may be true in some, but not all cases. There is a reason that department is there. And the reason I was calling was for something that would have HELPED the rep I spoke with. It was easy and would have helped her numbers. Oh well.
