So my brother is in town. I just love that both he and my mom are "I'm a Republican." And yet when I point out idiotic things that Bush has done, they laugh and say that crazy Bush. Um...WTF? It's not funny that the man is sending the National Guard off to Iraq while at the same time thanking them for protecting our borders. It's not funny that the economy produce enough jobs to keep up with the population growth. It's not funny that we're running on a $3.3 - 4.6 trillion deficit. I can't just laugh and say "Haha! That crazy Bush! But I'm voting for him anyway!" I wish there were actual choices in this election year so I could say "Well I don't agree with Kerry on this. He's not liberal enough for me so I'm voting for Mr. Liberal Monkey here who is as liberal as I am." Or so Kerry could stand up and say "I'm for gay marriage." I'm so sick of people not educating themselves on the issues. It's turning into a real pet peeve of mine. I can understand not having time to do it, but to just blatantly not care like my family does. My brother makes this proclamation yesterday: I'm voting for the guy that gives me my paycheck. So does this mean he's voting for the good old US taxpayer? Or is he voting for some guy in the US Marine Corps? People really take for granted the rights we have in this country and I'm in a mood today to be upset about it. This election can be about all of the issues and be extremely complicated or it can be incredibly simple. Take a look at the past 4 years. How would rate Bush? What do you want to change about your country? Does Bush's vision line up with how you'd like to see things move? I can't believe that knowing the tactics the military is doing to his fellow Marines, he's still going to vote for Bush. He knows that they're saying either extend your service or we're shipping you to Iraq now and you'll have to spend at least a year over there and he is ok with this? He's not ok with it actually, but has no clue how to change it I guess. Maybe he's afraid Kerry wants to back out of Iraq. Kerry hasn't said that at all. He wants to involve the Allies who don't want to have anything to do with Bush.

Moving on from that frustrating topic, I left out several nice things about my job.

- We have a Day In Your Shoes program where we could spend a day shadowing a sales rep or a sales rep could spend a day shadowing a customer service representative.

- There's no dress code (unless face to face with a customer).

- My hours don't randomly change. They are set. The way we get new hours or cover change in call volume is by posting new schedules and bidding based on seniority.

- We have incentives every quarter which means an incentive check every month.

- We also have a points program where we can accumulate points to redeem for products.

Not to mention that I can't find people who have negative things to say about US Cellular within the company. And people walk by and say hello. People I don't even know.

Rented Scary Movie 3 because there wasn't really anything else I wanted to see in the video store (that I didn't already have in my hand). I thought it was a better storyline that the kid turned out to be a figment of her imagination. That was much funnier and made sense why he kept surviving all of those horrible things done to him.

An episode of my show comes on tonight. Hope I don't forget to turn it on. I really like what H says to Alexx. In honesty, I just love it when he says sweetheart.

Now I have to call Local Phone repair and talk to India about the bleedover we hear on the line, the fact that it only rings once and doesn't show on the caller ID, and the fact that sometimes a fax/dial up modem picks up when we answer the phone. She's already put me on hold 4 times.

By the way, I was completely incoherent when I typed that.
