With Mind Bullets!
Friday, May 21st, 2004 12:08 pmOh. I feel like moaning in agony. No sleep. Ever. For me. Which is a lie. I went to bed at like 6:45 this morning. My mom got up and I told her good night, I was going to pass out for a few hours. When did I go to bed yesterday? It was like 8 am or something. People like to call me and wake me up! Usually I like when they call me and I'm like "No, I was awake just lying here thinking about getting up." But lately I have been too tired to make a convincing "No" sound. It's one of those tired "yeahs" followed by silence. So I am awake again. Sydney figured I would be awake and purchasing my CD in Ktown. Well first of all the movie, we're seeing is at 2:15 pm and secondly, I was thinking of getting some DDR in this evening and thought I would pick it up then.
Well it is Friday. I really need to get a job, you freaks. I also need to get a normal sleep schedule. Or actually get some sleep. Maybe my liver wouldn't feel all shitty... Oh. The Daytime Emmys are on tonight so no LOCI. However, Legally Blonde will be on. I highly recommend this movie. Two reasons for my recommendation. Reason One: Luke Wilson is in it with a horrible, horrible haircut. Reason Two: It's a great movie. I watched it when I was feeling like shit last year when Sydney dumped me. And after watching it, I decided to screw him and get over it. That's when I started playing paintball and all sorts of fun things.
Bongwater is very funny. I like it. I think I like it because it reminds me of horrible amateur movies. The ones to which I am addicted where there's no budget. Not the low budget ones, but the no budget ones. Only this one had a budget, obviously. It's just that the plot reminds me of one of those. I think it was. It's got those elements that unknown writers who aren't Hollywood heavy put in. But it's also not really that deep. In other words, it's a comedy that nearly tries to have a message. I think it does have a message. I really like it. I want to buy it. Andy Dick is so awesome in it. And Jack Black too. Of course Luke makes it for me. But I even loved Alicia Witt. My favorite nickname that her character got in the movie was "Carrot crotch" or "Fire crotch." And I'll write this in here because I was telling some folks last night, mom gave me money to go see some food last night and I immediately went to the video store and rented Bongwater before buying food. I had to make sure I had money for the movie. I have to feed my Luke addiction. I've already fed my Owen addiction. I need to look up the title of the next Owen movie I want to rent. I can't remember right now.
My brother called last night. I talked to him for nearly an hour. It was great. He's determined that I'm going to get a degree and won't take no for an answer. We were talking about one of my friend's theories that degrees are worthless. I'm not really sure where he got that idea apart from the fact that he has known some people who got degrees and didn't do anything with them. I'm not really sure what he expects to do that. Work as a baker his entire life or something. My brother says he doesn't know what he wants to major in or anything after the Marine Corps. I just hope he doesn't change his mind and extend. I don't think he will. We discussed Memphis. I want to travel all of a sudden. I want to see Texas and Memphis and Wisconsin and California and North Carolina's Myrtle Beach and Wilmington. I want to go to these places not just hear about them. We talked about how we've never been to Memphis. We're East Tennesseans. We like our Tennessee to have mountains. Central Tennesseans like their Tennessee to have hills and plateaus. And West Tennesseans have flatness and the Mississippi. And I need to go see that.
Well I need to go shower and attempt to sell my books back to the school so I can have some damn money! I need to call around to the Temp agency and try to get some work now that I'm awake. I am so awful when I'm half asleep. I cannot get my ass out of bed to save me.
Oh, I did some research (2 minutes worth) on Bongwater and it was based on a book. Note to self: Check out Bongwater and Jarheads next trip to library. I read some reviews. People didn't like it. They need to have their plots more clear, I guess. I don't think they have any clue what it is like to be stoner with no motivation at all. I thought this movie captured it well. But take my liking of this movie with the knowledge that I also laughed really hard in 50 First Dates (Rob Schneider is genius in that also the titty dance), Freddy Got Fingered, and Zoolander.
You're crazy, man. Crazy.
