Yesterday I worked with a customer for 3 hours. His computer was in the repair shop so his friend let him borrow a computer. This computer was so damn old that it didn't have updated USB drivers to run the USB device he had to connect to the internet. It also got screwed up by the Installation Wizard CD we'd sent out. Also the dial up modem was hosed and his friend did not give him a Windows CD. Luckily the files we needed were on the hard drive. I emailed him the files to update his USB drivers; however, the computer was so old that it did not have any software to open the file. I sent them again one at a time. Three hours. He was finally surfing on his friend's computer. He really wanted to check his email.

Also a frontline agent was used to be a Product Specialist and was demoted, who has worked there longer than I have, called up to escalate a customer because he had used all of his resources and could not resolve her problem. It was acting weird. She was trying to network over the home phoneline. He'd done all the troubleshooting and it wasn't working. I started talking to her. He hadn't done all of the troubleshooting. The issue was not her computer. The issue was the home phoneline quality had degraded so much that this computer would no longer connect over it.

I talked to a few people who wanted their service connected immediately. This one lady had moved. DSL runs over the phone service. The phone service did not turn on her phone line until Monday. We tried on Tuesday and recieved the error message that there was no phone service on the line. Guess what! It takes at least 72 hours of phone service for our systems to update and say "Oh yeah! Phone service on this line!" We did not try again on Wednesday. I do not know why. I do not work in Customer Service aka the department that makes sure the service is turned on and sends you the correct equipment. I work in Technical Support aka the department that repairs problems once the service is turned on. I do not know how the process works simply because it is not what I do everyday and I have had no training. I am very sorry, but I do not know why we did not try to hook the service up today. Nor can I call anyone to check at 8:30.

Thank you for asking if I was on my lunch break when you saw me eating my lunch at my desk. I was indeed on my lunch, I did in fact know that I'm "not supposed to eat at my desk," I was indeed hungry, had one minute left in my lunch, and was stressed out. Thanks for only asking the first two questions. You're welcome for not freaking out on you and acting all outraged.

I have to say, though, one thing that I never get tired of hearing is "I heart Lockhart" "I love Lockhart" "Lockhart is so funny" "Lockhart makes me laugh"! I never get tired of hearing it. It makes me so happy. He, of course, makes me laugh too. But I love making people laugh, making them feel better. I will make a fool out of myself any day for a laugh. And unfortunately, Gilderoy will suffer the same for I am him.

My favorite songs are those that sound like motion. When you listen to them, you feel like you are traveling. This is why Trance appeals to me so much. I really feel like I'm moving foward with purpose. I really want to see the Gouryella video for Ligaya. This is one of my favorite songs. And I have the link for the video, but the link for the "group" is not working.

My mom has Shanghai Knights. I saw this movie with Sydney when it first came out. We actually saw it as a sneak preview and I didn't realize it. So I got online, talked about it, and then found out it wasn't out yet. Poor Punky. I want to see the pillow fight again. And also the spotted dick.

Remind me that I don't want to be an Animal Control Officer. Not that I was ever considering it. But when you see these folks having to put the dogs to sleep, it makes you sad. And only for the reason that a) Animal Control cannot pay for medical care or b) it is an outlawed breed of dog. That really sucks.

Our neighborhood sucks.

Time for a few hours of sleep before running errands on Friday

3 hours. Man. That is tedious. It would have been faster if he had gone to the public library. And better for everyone.

Now *I* want to see Shanghi Knights again. That bad guy, Aiden Gillan is so cute. And Owen. And the pillow fight. :) And the Aiden's collection of dirty books.
