Um, EWWWWWWWW!

A friend of mine from the DDR community IMed me to say that I'm old enough to be his mom!!! Not unless I was 6 years old when I had you, you silly! He was kidding, of course. Just funny since I was thinking earlier today how old could someone my age children possibly be? That was long before my friend made that statement. My conclusion was 10 or 11. Maybe 12, but we're getting really close to how old does a girl have to be for her uterus to be ready.

I had every intention of going to work today. But I woke up and couldn't talk. So I went back to bed with a puppy dog. She's really funny. Every time I'd roll over because my side was hurting, she'd snuggle up to my back. No, I didn't get a dog, I'm talking about Sydney's.

Was over talking to someone the other day...oh yeah it was Joe...about how people latch onto phobias like it is this defining characteristic. I say let go of them. I really couldn't list off anything that I'm afraid of right now. I can definitely understand some phobias like feeling claustrophobic. No one wants to be crushed to death. But there are some things that are just silly and childish.

I took that test to see whose friends on my friend's list I should be friends with. So I added the most interesting ones to my list. Hope no one minds. I imagine they'll just post an FU post if they do.

Oh how I enjoy reading other people's friend's journals. It's really funny when you're bored because you've been sick and can't go to work. or you're at work and it sucks.

I want to join an RP again. Or play paintball.

Dumbledore and McGonagall really are opposites, aren't they? Opposites in similar positions, such as they are, do tend to make for good character flavor. =) I've never really analyzed their characters though; every character in HP has specific traits they seem to represent, most of them aren't thoroughly developed. But I'm still glad to see that Dumbledore can make mistakes, just as McGonagall can lose control of her emotion. (If you've ever watched Enterprise, it's somewhat like the comparison between Dr. Phlox [a Dnobulan {sp?}] and T'Pol [a Vulcan].)

I don't seriously support any HP slash theories, because JKR's original audience was intended to be children. She wouldn't include gay relationships in a story for children, simply because of all those who are opposed to it. I have playfully supported Sirius x Remus, for the bishounen value (because, as you know, I do like to indulge in that stuff ^^; ), but I would never expect it to seriously happen to HP. What sorts of fanfics DO you like to read about?

Well, honestly, I don't know if my "phobias" would be considered that, or simply fears. But some of them I can dwell on at illogical times (like worrying about viral illness when no one around me is sick), and others, like fish, only strike me when they're around.

Well actually, I am afraid of fish biting me. ^^; But it's not really based on the thought of being bitten; it's based on the fact that I don't want to touch them. For some reason, I'm afraid of making skin contact with them. I don't know why. But when my teacher took the fish out of the tank, I literally stopped thinking about anything except that fish and the image of it jumping out of the net and touching me. I know most fish couldn't hurt me. It's just that that thought of touching them is completely revolting. It's like a disgust that's managed to grow and turn into fear.

Well see, there you go. You're already closer. You just need to analyze why you are afraid of fish touching you. I was afraid flying from heights. But there is really nothing that I could do to stop myself from falling from heights and I decided I would rather live my life than be in fear of something that might not ever happen ie the elevator or plane crashing.

I like to read too good character development, character interactions. I don't like to read about sex. And I just don't see how Sirius Black could be gay. He just doesn't strike me as gay in the least so there's something about reading him gay that is wrong to me. I can't read it and think about him. I have to read it and imagine he's another character. She might have a gay relationship. But her books aren't about romance so she hasn't included much in that area yet. She may as Harry gets older. He's already had his first kiss.

I'm sure JK has their personalities thoroughly developped in her notes. I think that the characters are developped beautifully in the story as well. I get a feel for what the characters would and would not do.
