Forget Luke Wilson. He's out of the club. Unless he doesn't say anything. He's been replaced with RDJ. Which has been true for a while, I'm just making it official. I laughed so hard at the video. Really. Embarrassed. Myself.

I'm thinking it's time for a HSM/HSM2 rewatch. I know. Totally lame. But I am not above watching totally lame things as long as they make me happy. One day, there may be a singing teenager on the island. *evil laughter*

Here's a mid-month Sotp, mostly for my reference to keep up with everything that is going on.

Zack's been building toward a breakdown since Body Switch 3.1. Between all of this thinking that he's learned to do, the murders, Karo's friend disappearing, being told that dreams only get you killed, Cloud finding his item and still not telling Aeris his feelings. He started down that path a few times this week. He and Javert had a disagreement right before the new arrival mixer. When Zack made it to the mixer, he was broody and cranky. T-1000 punched him in the jaw at Zack's request and then made him a list of things to do.

His new friend, Summer Roberts, has been a wonderful distraction. She deals with stress the same way he does through doing something else. They've danced to the jukebox, talked about dying and dead friends, she's nearly cried on his shoulder in a bikini and they've frolicked in the ocean to avoid talking about feelings.

Sarah Connor showed up and shot his partner. He didn't like that and went to the source as soon as she regained consciousness. Their first encounter went badly, with him demanding answers, she gave him the short versions and was rightly rude to him and then he left for her to convalesce. When she body-switched into Aeris, things resumed with the pointed glares and he became her new shadow. Eventually he got the truth out of her, but that left him feeling a little guilty. Probably because he's been getting the sinking feeling he's a failure and all of his decisions were the wrong ones. Even though they weren't.

Cloud got his item, Angeal's buster sword, which was covered in rust. Cloud has a breakthrough and is honest with Zack that he'd held on to Zack's memory and just when he'd been ready to let go, Zack shows up making things difficult for him. Zack takes it the wrong way and figures he's just a great big failure. And continues wishing that Angeal were there to tell him what to do.

Karolina lost Gert to island magic. Zack comforts her and shares stories about Angeal. Leaving the wound open for Cloud's item to knock Zack over with guilt. He tells Karolina that maybe the point of the island is to enjoy the time they have with their friends and loved ones. He wonders why he's saying that when he still can't bring himself to tell Aeris how he feels.

Zack resolves to tell Aeris the truth after much prodding from the T-1000 and his own conscience. He knows he needs to do it. He finds Gil Grissom in the kitchen and offers friendly conversation about how he can't find the girl he loves thanks to the body switching. He's given partial answers and logic by Gil which further prompt him to tell her the truth. He gets tired of the old man's logic and leaves him, never learning Gil is really Aeris.

The Future: He'll tell Aeris, depending on her answer, he may decide it's time to get his own hut. If Aeris reveals her identity in Gil to anyone from home, he will probably find out but not until after he's told her how he feels.

He's growing fond of Summer, but is telling himself that she's just a friend. Which is true. And he loves Aeris. Whenever Seth arrives though, there may be some hurt feelings.

He may receive a body with his item, but I haven't decided. It depends on his state of mind. I want him said, but not insane or having a mental breakdown.

He began curing wood in order to carve a wooden staff and sword. Despite T's remark that swords are useless. They are much more useful than sharpened forks or at least for Zack. And guns don't grow on trees like everything else on the island. He'll give up curing the wood by the end of August and start carving, completing the work by September. At which point, he'll receive his item.

Care Bears. I joked about Zack being a Care Bear earlier this week. I've put a little thought to it and have found bears for everyone else.

Cloud - Grumpy Bear. If there were an Emo Bear, he'd be that one instead. Oh, in case you missed this great toy from the 80s (that was brought back recently), Grumpy is the one with rainclouds on his tummy, who is followed by a raincloud on occasion and is always grumpy.
Aeris - Love-A-Lot Bear (from the wiki) is a pretty and perky bear who helps spread love and help it along wherever she goes. She is pink and her tummy symbol is two intertwined hearts.
Zack - I had joked he'd be Cheer Bear, but she's a she. He's closer to Tenderheart Bear. Especially since I can see Tenderheart making tough decisions like dying for the other bears. Thankfully that doesn't happen cuz I would have been a sad child. He was my favorite. Yes, because I like hero characters. XD
Yuffie - Funshine Bear. My other favorite bear! (from the wiki) Loves to play and tell jokes all the time, but sometimes forgets that there are times in life you must be serious. He is yellow with a smiling sun on his tummy. Funshine was originally a female Care Bear until 2002. Not exactly on the mark for Yuffie, but she's YELLOW!

Now I feel like watching the movie again. I think I only have it on VHS, but I might have bought on DVD.
