Writer's Block: LJ Comments

I am totally more of a comment maker. Why? I think it's a two part answer. Firstly, I don't have a lot of active friends on LJ. My LJ BFF quit. A lot of my current friends are from past fandoms so obviously we don't have much in common. Also I don't make friends very quickly because I can be a fandom snob. And let's face it, LJ is about fandoms. If you don't have one, you aren't going to meet folks. I have been much better as of late though. I've actually recently made a new LJ friend!
Secondly, in the past I have written things of a more serious nature here. I've grown a lot in the past 3 years. But people don't log into LJ to get into a heated debate or to be sad.
And thirdly, this is now a 3 part answer, I like commenting! I don't know when to end a conversation. Something else I have been working on. If someone replies to me, I think it polite to comment back. I have adopted the motto now of "if it doesn't add to the conversation, don't post it." It's working out much better for me. I feel less disappointment that someone didn't reply. It wasn't that they don't like me, we had just ended the conversation is all.
Secondly, I got accepted the RP! More pimpage to ensue as I finish up the application process. Hopefully a debut soon!
Get Smart this weekend! I have tried to avoid trailers and spoilers (I-Tunes was particularly evil in providing the free snippet. I couldn't resist, downloaded and viewed it already.) so I'm hoping that I haven't seen all of the funny parts. Nothing worse than going to see a comedy, but you've seen all of the funny bits. I have a feeling that Steve Carrell will deliver though.
This work computer is so gimped! They have all of the anti-spyware, virus scan stuff. And it is completely locked down. You can only access internet explorer. Right clicking is disabled. And the delete key doesn't work. It's rather annoying, especially since I like the delete key.
Ok, I can't just leave the RP squeeage to 'I got accepted!' The folks are really nice there, just as the rumors say. A few people were actually excited about my character which is awesome since none of them have played the game. I was telling myself "He could be too obscure" to curtail any letdown I might feel. However, it has all been awesome.

Date: 2008-06-20 04:43 pm (UTC)SarkRab icons. My inner Evan always makes me read anything Adam does just in case it is really Rab. Which lets face it, Adam is an awful lot like Rab except nearly successful at the world domination thing whereas it was never really at the top of Rab's To Do List.It is a multi fandom, or pan fandom as the community lingo goes. You might know one of the mods/creators...
