This game was awesome. It really has me hyped to continue the saga as nothing in the past has done. FFVII has been out for 10 years and I have never wanted to play it as badly as I do now.

As for Crisis Core, how evil was it to make me play the final battle?! Since I already knew what to expect for the end, I recognized the end immediately. Zack put up a good fight though. It certainly wasn't a one shot kill. I really enjoyed the MISSILES the helicopters were firing at him. Thanks, guys!

The ending itself was very sad. All of the little things like Aerith writing Zack to come home. Or the 23 little wishes combined into "I want to spend more time with you." Talk about foreshadowing the end and telling us which things that were not going to happen.

Having never played 7, I always thought a little poorly of Cloud. However that is the case no longer. If Zack saved him, he was worth it. Besides defeating Sephiroth is no small victory.

Oh and I should mention that when I knew I had to face down Sephiroth, there was much groaning from my part. I knew that cut scene was going to end with "Combat Mode Engaged," but I still hoped it wouldn't. Luckily I had leveled my materia up and fused it well so those battles were not as hard as they could have been.

Also ... the PS3 technical demo!!! That scene with Cloud on the train was not part of the original demo so they added to it. And the words "To be continued in Final Fantasy VII" is waaaay too mean if they have no intention of doing the remake. They must be doing it, but from what I hear XIII & v XIII are the priority right now.

We went to the mall yesterday. I don't remember when the last time was that we went to the mall together--apart from being on vacation. Sadly, I now want to buy all of those FF7 memorabilia that I've secretly made fun of people for buying. I am a clichee, but I can't deny it!

I may find a used copy of FF7 and play it. I can't rely on the remake if it is or is not going to be made. I was also going to buy the soundtrack because it really is a shame that I don't have a proper version of Aerith's theme yet, but it seems a bit sparce even the Piano Collection. It may be because I have heard too many amazing versions of One Winged Angel to like a simple piano or midi version. I found myself looking at the FFVIII song collection and wanting to buy it. It did have amazing game music.

When I played 8 (which was my favorite until I played Crisis Core and now I am a converted 7 fan), I tried to record all of the CGI cut scenes. They were just so amazing! I was about halfway through the 2nd disc when I found a VCD which contained all of them. A few days ago, my husband said he'd like to watch it with me. I've been wanting to play 8 again as well and after listening to the soundtrack, it may be unavoidable. I never did unlock all of the summons. I always wanted to level my characters up more too. In the end, I was the furthest along in the game and ended up beating it while they all watched! I can't believe I didn't fold under the pressure though!

Enough Final Fantasy-ness. I am and will remain a devoted and hopelessly incurable fan of the series.
