Well firstly we visited some friends in the Cleveland TN area Tuesday night, all day Wednesday and part of Thursday. It was nice, but not nearly as long as I would have liked. It was nice being out in the middle of the country. So quiet and plenty of room! Plus our friends were just incredibly hospitable. We really need to fix up the spare bedroom so we can have visitors. We played lots of games. Epic Warcraft 3 campaigns. One board that really annoyed us. We were starting to figure it out, but didn't have enough time to beat it. So sad! And I finally got to see 28 Days. Now we have to watch the sequel. I just need to finish up the two Netflix movies I have. One of them is really dramatic and sad and I just have a tough time watching those kinds of movies. They always depress me, but it's one I can't miss. I may watch it on Sunday. We'll see since I have work on Sunday. Maybe Monday after work would be better.

On to the concert... We were driving back from Cleveland so we arrived just after 7. We missed a few of 1000 Foot Krutch's songs. But I don't really know that many of them anyway. I like "What Do We Know" off their new album, but they aren't really a band about which I go crazy. I may buy "What Do We Know" from ITunes though. It is a nice one. They played this song "Rawkfist" which really cracked me up. Mostly for the absurdity of it all. Cuz its not a song my husband would like in the least, but there he was attending a concert for me.

Next up was Barlowgirl, they played a lot of their recognizeable songs. Only a few of them were new ones, but they were good songs. Then they had technical difficulties right at the end of their set. It was cool that they are all sisters and that the baby is the drummer. Also they stand for some really fantastic values so double win there. I really like their song Bring the Rain, but I haven't looked it up yet to find the real name of the song so I can possibly buy it on ITunes as well. Oh well, I really can't find that song. I'll just listen to the radio and see if they play it again.

Then Tobymac came out and he turned it up a notch. Matt liked it because Toby does some dancing and some choreography. It was just so fun. He didn't play all of my favorites, not from his latest Portable Sounds Album nor from Diverse City or Momentum, but I wasn't expecting him to do that anyway. He did play a few of my favorites. And he also took it old school and played In the Light and Jesus Freak. And they also did a little mix set with a bunch of really old school music including Play That Funky Music White Boy (not the Vanilla Ice version). And DJ Maj played a little bit of Justin Timberlake's My Love which caused a few people to wonder what was going on.

I bought some Hearos Hi Fidelity which worked so wonderfully. The concert experience without the ringing ears! And we'll be using them again in November for the Switchfoot/Relient K concert. We'll be about 5 rows closer to the stage...not that there are seats far from the stage in the Civic Coliseum. It will be interesting to see how that concert goes. I think Switchfoot is the headliner and Relient K is tagging along, but Relient K is my favorite out of those two bands so meh. I like Switchfoot though so I think it'll work out.

Then Winter Jam 2008 is going to be awesome! Newsong is hosting again. Mercyme is the big ticket group. Then we'll have Barlowgirl, Mandissa, and the fun band on the tour this year will be Skillet! When we went last in 2006, Hawk Nelson was the odd band out. But they played it off well and had fun on stage even if a lot of people were shaking their heads wondering what to do with this punk band jumping around on stage. So I can't wait to see what people think about a rock band. Should be fun.

Well I've gotta run. I need to get about 10 errands done today, but due to time constraints I'll have to knock that back to getting 5 done. If I keep working on this entry though, it'll be more like 2. So... I gotta go!
