A Very Merry UnBirthday to Me!
Wednesday, March 28th, 2007 01:17 pmExcept it isn't my unbirthday today. It's my real birthday. That's right I'm turning 21 again! Yes, I feel it is time to turn 21 again. I'm feeling old! I've missed out on my goals I had in life and I don't want to be reminded of them right now. Thus turning 21 again!
We celebrated with Matt's family last night. We're continuing our diet. And I was very pleased with my results. Last week, they were busy so we didn't get to weigh in. So this week was two weeks worth of weight loss. I'm very pleased to have moved off of my plateau. And I'm very excited with the weight that I lost. Then we went to Ruby Tuesdays and I had a bacon avacado turkey burger without the bacon and a salad bar. I was disappointed that the Knoxville/Lovell Road Ruby's doesn't have as many items as the Oak Ridge Ruby's.
Then we went home and his mom made me an angel food cake with fruit and strawberry whipped cream! It was yummy and a nice treat for being on a diet. Of course, there is a sad part to the story. We couldn't find any candles so we used the "Over the Hill" candle. And apparently my husband had bought this candle a while back for his dad's birthday. But now I'm Over the Hill. So very sad. ;(
Then came the gifts which I wasn't even expecting! I was just looking forward to breaking from the diet for a day. That was really the only gift I was expecting. But I got a very pretty scrapbook full of embellishments, a bunch of blue and white oriental dishes which are just lovely, and a gift card to Cato's! So I'm really blown away by all the gifts.
We're celebrating Easter this Sunday since they will be out of the COUNTRY for Easter.
Yesterday was my grandmother's birthday. I haven't seen her in almost 10 years. She came up for my graduation and that was the last time I saw her. That's really sad. I want to visit her. I also want to travel to Wilmington. We have a family friend who has lived there for over 20 years and I've never once been to her house.
Well enough journaling for now. We're going to Red Lobster for my birthday celebration and I'm not sticking to the diet today. I'm celebrating!
