I got bit by an alligator in the pool!

I have this phobia of alligators in the pool. We're in Florida and it's not unheard of for alligators to decide to make their homes in a nice pool. Of course, there are easier pools to get into even if their teeth could shred through the screening. Regardless, every time I jump into the pool at night, I suddenly get this sinking feeling of "I didn't check for alligators!" Or even if I did check, I'll have this passing moment of "that shadow could be an alligator."

Well we were in the pool a little while ago and I got bit by some kind of bug under the water. I was showing my husband and he said "Did you get bit by an alligator?" I couldn't resist the title for a post.

We're getting Kira acclimated to swimming. She looks like a rat in the water. And she likes the raft to float on.

We're getting ready to go for some goooooooood pizza at my grandmother's house. Then tomorrow my grandmother, aunt and cousin (and little dog) are coming up for a cook out/pool party/dog party! I want to get a disposable camera because we remembered everything except wanting to capture the vacation on film! Doh!!

And I'd like to say thanks again for all of my flist who sent their sympathies. We're still sad about his untimely departure as he was still a young dog. But we're glad for the time we had with him.

-In a few days, you'll be as right as rain. -Oh so you mean it will just grow back? -What's that? -The leg then? It will just grow back?
