We're trying out Vongo and gamefly. Gamefly is awesome. It's really helpful for trying out games without having to shell out $50. And if you really like a game, but it's easy to beat. No need to shell out the cash, you can have it out as long as you want. And looks like another part of the FF7 is coming to PS2 next month? Well that's added to the ol' gamefly queue. I never played the first one. It was on a system I didn't have nor did I have the money to buy the system. Or interest. Not for one game. That's why I played FF8 but not 7. I'm a cheapskate for those geeks that read my LJ. You know who you are. :)

I asked my husband if he'd wear Vincent Valentine shoes, but have Reno's hair. He said sure, but I have to get him the shoes. That would be cool! Wonder if he'd die his hair!

In WoW drama, I was feeling pretty down last week about my druid. It's not my favorite class, but it's the one I chose when we rerolled horde. And I've played this character for hours and hours and days and days of game time. Only about 7-8 months of real time. So I've invested. She has 4 tier 0 armor pieces and 4 tier 1 armor pieces. But I was feeling like the gimp of the guild. The officers and GL don't seem to like druids. There are two of us who show up regularly. Myself and the guy who told us to join the guild. He works at US Cellular, was on my husband's team for a while, and was in our first guild (which we just started so we could communicate easily with friends until we were 60 and ready for end game raiding). Well it's been said we only need 2 druids for 40 man raids. That the druids need to be schooled. This was said because an officer transferred his druid over. A character that he hadn't played for months and months. I'm sure he didn't have a clue about how to use swiftmend. After this comment was made, the very next raid he was in, he innervated a warrior. And I think he did it twice. I got in trouble for innervating once. Because I innervated a shaman (also the GL who had just shouted "I'm out of mana") during a Baron Gehddon fight when all of the priests were dead. No one thought it was a valid reason to get yelled at. But I think he was just mad at druids in general because the most annoying person in the guild played the class. A 12 year old. They finally g-kicked him and things have been better about letting druids do their thing. Then we were in AQ-20 with 1 priest, 2 shaman, and 1 druid, and at the 8 wave attack fight, I was told to root regardless of the fact that we had 3 warlocks who were fearing and only 3 healers. It's better to root. "We have plenty of healing." And then one of the NPCs died. Plenty of heals my face! Not that druids shouldn't root in that battle. But it's best if there are several druids and plenty of healers. And there's more. A lot of handholding and henpicking for the druids. Complaints when druid gear drops. All of that, and I'm feeling really good about my druid. Because I outhealed all of the priests this last MC raid. I was #2 or 3 on the healing list for the trash mobs and fights (up until Majordomo because that fight is hard to gauge with all of the healers spread out). I healed my heart out without overhealing! I'm so excited. I was beaten by one or two shaman, one of which is the main tank healer. Not to mention that I'd lost on the Healing Touch rank 11 book in that AQ-20 run and I still beat the heck out of that druid. He didn't even place in the top 10, I think. So that makes me really excited. Just have to keep it up.

Also my Wildheart kilt FINALLY dropped in Stratholme. So 4 wildheart and 4 cenarion. Matt won a 10 Storms helm from our first Ony run too. Our run into Scholo for flasks of supreme power turned into a drop fest. With our shared warrior tank getting his helm and a sword. Our druid friend got 2 dreadmist pieces for his lock alt that he just started. We got a lot of gear DE'd for our enchanter. My husband got 3 corrupter's scourgestones and that gave him 10 argent dawn tokens for his mantle of fire resist. And I proved the theory correct that you do not need to collect 12 coffer keys to open the dark coffer chest and get a burning essence. Just need to get the dark coffer key from the guard. All in all, I'm feeling much better than I was this time last week.

We're taking a vacation to Florida in August. We'll be bringing the little dog. I want to see her running from the waves. And swimming in the pool. I also have a guilty desire to go to Disney World. Wonder if we could plan a meet up with the third druid in the guild who turns out regularly... except he's kind of annoying and probably way younger than us. There's always SeaWorld. I haven't been since I was nine. Maybe I won't feel so bad for the captured wild animals. The West Palm Beach zoo sucks so I doubt we'll go back. I didn't enjoy it the last time we went. The Knoxville zoo is so much bigger and well designed. I'm hoping to get out to the Knoxville zoo when it gets cooler. Way to hot to be out looking at animals during the day.

Brought the little dog over to my mother-in-law's house last Tuesday to play with their puppy. He is slightly bigger than my dog, but she's longer. He's part wolf, part german shepherd, part saint bernard. He'll be a big one.

Also went to another hat club meeting on Saturday. The next meeting is in October and it will be a cowgirl day at a steakhouse. I'm trying to find a cowgirl hat for cheap. I saw a really really nice one, but it was $60. If it were something I'd use more than once, then maybe. But I don't see spending that much on a costume.

And we're trying gamefly out because we're getting a DS Lite. Bought a DS used (purchased in April and played by a responsible 20 year old) for $50. We got the New Super Mario Bros and I beat it already, but I'm still playing it to unlock cool stuff. Lab and Friends came in the mail from gamefly and I'm enjoying that too. I'll probably buy it on ebay. No point in spending $30 for a game I can get used for $10 less. And I found out on gamefly that there's a new DDR game coming out in September. It's already in my rental queue.

We bought some new clothes last week. I've put on some weight from not being active. Too much WoW playing, I guess. So I've set a goal to lose 10 pounds before our Florida trip. I'm always embarrassed to visit my dad because my relatives aren't polite about weight. I remember being told I was fat when I was 12. I wasn't fat, not even chubby. But now I am. I just need to break the stress eating habit. And I need to work out more. More DDR is the key. I just need to keep up with it.

I've also set the goal that I want this house in order before our vacation. I don't want to come home to a mess. Now if the big dog gets sick right before the trip, then fine. But that's all. Everything else will be in order.

And lastly, movies. I didn't like My Super Ex-Girlfriend. It had its moments that I enjoyed. I thought Anna Farris was actually cute! And I can't stand her usually thanks to the Scary Movie series. But there was just too much sex talk. And a lot of it was pervy sex talk. "Ewww" would have been my reaction.

Lady in the Water was great though! I think I doubly enjoyed knowing that M Night was inspired by Miyazaki's Spirited Away. If you've missed it somehow, I LOVE Miyazaki. He's my favorite. It's been said that Miyazaki's movies are like wine and they get better with subsequent viewings. There's always something new to notice. I've seen Spirited Away countless times and I still love watching it. Every time I have a magical feeling. And then we were watching SG1 or Atlantis and there was M Night on Sci Fi talking about how he watched Miyazaki's Spirited Away. And Lady in the Water was so great. Even with the kind of weird ending. It's definitely one I could watch again. It tops the ranks of the summer movies for me.

And in closing, I've been having a lot of weird dreams lately. Dreams of old friends.

Better go activate my new check card so I can update my billing info before July ends.

The first four paragraphs were like me reading spanish! No comprehnday!

Vacation in Florida sounds nice. I hope the weather will be nice when you go. I don't think $60 is a lot of money for a cowgirl hat, but then, I live in Texas.

How disappointing you didn't like My Super Ex-Girlfriend. I haven't seen it yet. Mentioned it to BB, but he doesn't like Luke Wilson. :( I saw the end of "Signs" and decided M Night's movies are too 'boring' for my ADD. ;)
