Not being a fan of the first one. Not finding Jack Sparrow in the least bit heroic at all in the first one.
I went to see the second. I wanted to see it on opening week, but I wasn't feeling that great last week and ended up staying home all week. Stupid stomach cramps.
But I loved this one! Even the week ending that left me begging for more of the Captain. I really enjoyed time spent with the Captain. I wanted him to talk more. It was intoxicating. I'm not attracted to Jack Sparrow. He's not that kind of guy I want in any way. He's just very entertaining. Plus... he's not real when I see him. Were he to be a real person, I don't think I'd spend much time with him at all. I'd probably be dead. Or worse yet, soulless.

I'd even heard that it was too long. That it went on and on. No no! I don't think the people who said that saw the first movie. It was full of too many cannonballs fight scenes with the back and forth of the volley of the fire. Totally boring. No. This had Krakken and Davy Jones (though no locker oddly), voodoo shaman or whatever the female verson is. A witch doctress? A witch nurse? The movie was perfect for something that bears the name of a famous ride. For this movie was much more like a ride. If only it didn't have to end after 2 and 1/2 hours.

Still the sequel should be out soon.

And I didn't think the rum joke got old at all. You're old. So QQ more.

Personally I liked both movies, but I had somewhat of a Jack Sparrow overload seeing both movies in a row.

Generally speaking PotC1/2 was a really entertaining and funny action movie, I don't usually watch movies like that, it's either mindless bloodshed or horror that I like, or Jim Carrey, but this one I really liked. I also walked away from the theatre with one obsession more to my list. I thought the character of Jack Sparrow was awesome and, well, he's hot. If the Brig was still up in its full glory I bet we would be fighting over who gets the "original" Jack as her manslave in the RP, haha. Which reminds me... *runs off to Brig*

Hahaha, too right, but I did love making weird "clones" of the chars though. Like Tiny Vegeta. XDD

I loved that voodoo lady! Her voice was just like the trolls of WoW. She was really cool.

Now seeing them in a row might not be bad and I might have liked Jack in the first one. But I saw it with no idea there would be a second one and people saying that Jack Sparrow is the best character ever. So... I was expecting him to have some character and be a horrible pirate. But it worked in the second one. I wasn't expecting him to save the day.

I'm sure Brandy would have already claimed the original. And Froggy would have her own copy too. And then you and Lea.

LOL There would be dozens of copies of Jack. Though I doubt I'd have one. Maybe for amusement. Maybe he could be like the door prize for joining the Brig. You get your own copy of James and Captain Jack. lol

That priest was totally awesome. I loved her bloodshot eyes and her tattoos. And that's totally dorky, but I like it anyway.
