halogirl8's user name alias too much. I have the line "She's gotta be somebody's baby!" running over and over in my head and only sometimes do I hear "She's gotta be somebody's only light."
Also a customer graced me with her rendition of Turn the Page in a stirring round of Car Kareoke while checking on cell phone minutes. I was quite unimpressed with it honestly.
I tried to get the dog to sing a song today. Apparently saying "Come on! Go ahead and sing. Let's go. Come on! Sing." doesn't work very well. But I did encourage Matt to sing one of the more annoying songs ever to be sung--The song that never ends! He did sing an interesting rendition of it. I was quite stirred. Or not.
Well it's Halloween in the lovely World of Warcraft. There are ghosts hanging from string in the inns. Pumpkins and jack-o-laterns are on tables and lining walk ways! You can bob for apples. Or my favorite is playing Trick or Treat with the inn keeper! Amekumo was turned into a mini-diablo this morning. I've heard on the Horde side of things, there's a giant burning scarecrow outside the Undercity! I'm excited to log in and check it out tonight. Or... whenever. More on why that might not be possible later...
We got Guild Wars yesterday. It's different and new, but I do like it. It would be better if I had a better ... monitor? graphics card? Well something. And if I knew how to play it like I know how to play WoW. Still I enjoyed it. I started an Elementalist/Monk named "Kinsu Amekumo." Being in a group is interesting though. You zone with your group. And you can only group in town. Of course, this may just be a feature of "newbieland" as I only played for a short period of time last night.
I've worn my hair in pigtails twice this week. I've been growing it out for the wedding. Matt likes longer hair as do most guys so I grew it out. It doesn't matter to me one way or the other and long hair gives more things to do with it. Maybe I can remember how to braid it!
But on both days people have called me "Pippi." I'm not upset about that. I just wanted to take a moment and laugh. It's not original. Let's recall how much difficultly most people used to have with saying my name. And I used to wear my hair like this all the time. It's nothing original to call me "Pippi." I grew up in the 80s and it was a popular show. It doesn't work as well with me since I don't have firey red hair. So if you call me Pippi, excuse me if I don't laugh. It's not because I'm angry at your clever little jab. It's just that your jab is so unoriginal and the opposite of clever that I don't even have a response. Saying "that's old" might cause you to laugh and then we'd have this weird conversation in which neither one of us really wants to participate.
My mom is traveling to Las Vegas this week for a class. I called her today to make sure everything is order with her and she was just so spacey. I worry about her sometimes.
My dad on the other hand said that he was sending money for the wedding on Monday and I have yet to receive that letter. Not that I was relying on it, but I worry when something like that doesn't show up.
Playing some Guild Wars tonight with the old WoW crew! That ought to be fun. I'm really excited because I get to see our friends' new home. And we're trying out one of those Nasa beds. Whatever it's called. I can't think of it right now. Sleep Number is not right.
We're also seeing Doom! Can you smeeeeeeeeell what the Rock is cutting up with a chainsaw? Yay! And maybe we can find our tickets for GoF! Yiiiipie!
I did find my ring last night. So Phew!

OOooo! We have a tornado warning for our entire county. I'm not worried about it. I'll just duck under my desk. But I can at least hope for a power outage, right?!?! That always makes things interesting. Plus I have three flashlights! Two light up pens and a penflash light.
