Making excuses

I am so guilty of making excuses. I have decided that for whatever reason I am irritated with my job. This leads me to work as hard as I can for the customer because it isn't their fault, but focus less on being timely. For example, it occurred me to that when I take my lunch, Matthew gets upset when it is time for me to go back to work. So we decided to park near the building. When we park further away, to avoid the whole being seen together which apparently is not taboo, I have put it off and put it off to tell him when I need to get back to work until it is always after time. So I'm saying to Matt I needed to get back five minutes ago. Well today I was all set to go back in when a good song came on the radio. It was ok not to go back in, I rationalized, because it was a Christian song, one of my favorites. But that was false. It was a trap, an excuse, to get out of doing something I didn't want to do. God wants me to do a good job in all I do. To give it my all.

I really need to stop making excuses.

Don't be irritated, Janina. Everybody makes excuses all the time...not that it's okay because of that, but you're only human. You can only do as much as you can when you can do it, that's all =)
