The Mollies
Sunday, November 14th, 2004 02:17 amI have some black mollies. These fish have caused me immense pain! They seem to only thrive at 90 degrees, but they're supposed to be fine at 75 degrees. I've split the difference with them and put the tank at about 80-85 degrees. They still struggle with it. Feel bad for the them, but what can you do? I have to think about the danios too. Well I have one male and two females. I figured between the danios and the mollies all of the fry would be gobbled up. Well... I have a bit of a problem. The parent fish are being parental and the danios aren't being predatory. I have about 12-15 fry. Maybe more. And mollies could easily eat these fry, but they don't! One of the females likes to pick food from the bottom of the tank. That's where all of the fry are hanging out now so she gets really freaked out when she goes for a flake and there's this tiny fry going after it too. They are fun to watch, but I don't know what I'm going to do with that many fish. I had no intention of breeding since the fish are supposed to eat their fry.
