Entry in which I use my LJ once again as a political platform

Awesome lyrics y'all.
I'm loving that Green Day has a new song too: American Idiot. I think I've moved past their sound, but glad they've made a political song. Being American punks and all.
Although Morrissey's America Is Not the World is probably one of my favorites. Very good song. Highly recommended, etc. I'd link you to it, but he hasn't made it into a video and his website is only a snippet. I'm pretty sure I've posted the lyrics here previously, but the website also has lyrics there.
New Rascal Flatts video too. I love those guys. They've got a very nice sound. It's optimistic and happy and nostalgic at the same time. Good stuff those guys. Evan Rosier liked to listen to them for his Maeve...OOC of course.
The new Alanis Morissette album is another one that I enjoyed. It's also got that optimistic tone to it. I feel like I've grown with Alanis. She always seems to be the same place that I am or I feel like I'm in the same place she is when I hear her music. Maybe not as intense since her anger was pretty real in her first album and then she seemed to get pretty spiritual, but I recognize her emotions. Excuses is probably my favorite song off of the new album, So-Called Chaos. And I highly recommend that you check out her new video for Eight Easy Steps! It revisits all of her previous videos and I thought that was a pretty clever idea. I'm loving her new look too. You go girl!
As for what's in my car, I've been a little short on cash with the lack of job thing so nothing new. I've been revisiting my old Smashing Pumpkin days. Love those guys. I'm finally getting to the point where I can even appreciate their pure rock songs, but the slower songs will always be my favorite. Also listening to my Best of Morrissey album. It's one of those CDs where every song is a winner and I love it.

I'm a bleed-heart liberal for sure! And you're an all-American capitalist. Rock on for the James and Rammstein lovin'. Bringing people together!
