Bandages on my legs and my arms for you!
Sunday, July 25th, 2004 05:47 pmWhat is up, ya'll!!
I'm updating to talk about Hot, Hot Heat. I have to say that some of their songs don't strike me as being memorable at all. Unfortunately for them, I had been listening to Morrissey before them so they were compared to him. Still Bandages remains my favorite! I love that song. It's so catchy. It's got to the lead singer's energy. He's crazy! And I love it. I suggest going to official website and viewing the Toronto 2003 version. It's the best. His dancing and belting out lyrics got me into loving this song. His insane energy reminds me of Justin Hawkins, but a little less with the nakedness.
And the video to Bandages is an ode to the Terry Gilliam movie Brazil. I really liked that they put that in there. Of course, being Canadians, they would be more open to Terry's flick than the American censors who chopped the movie into little, unrecognizeable bits. Still a good movie and I do own a copy of it. Not the copy, but a copy. I couldn't afford the uber version. I think the worse part is that I haven't even watched it since buying it. But I did view it many times when I was 16 and 17. It was recommended by good buddy, known as Tygerbug at the time. Oh the memories. I will have to recommend that he watch the video to Bandages next time I see his lurker self online. Stupid board isn't working otherwise I'd just post a link. Silly bandwidth.
The first of the gang to die. Such a silly boy! Hector was the first of the gang.

Date: 2004-07-26 07:47 am (UTC)I think the kid would go with the nakedness if it fit his appeal. I could see him wearing those sorts of clothes--if that was his style. I just ) { his crazy strutting. It's adorable.
