Sunday, February 8th, 2004 12:50 amSeems I've stirred up quite an interesting conversation about whether or not the internet is fake. It's all rather amusing since it started out by just a funny little comment about how fights on the internet are inherently fake. They really are inherently fake at that board I read post on. But it's still an enjoyable posting board all the same. Probably because I know more about those guys and their inherent fakeness then they know about me. Then they care to know about me. Anyway, stirring up conversation is always a good thing.
I started a Word Association thread with myself. Remind you of someone? I was bored. Nothing online to do anymore. I should check out that porn site Nick was recommending today at work. What was it again?
Lorne sat next to me today. He's kind of annoying until I realized he has no attention span. He started talking about something I had mentioned three hours previous. I'm going to play Warcraft III again. I want to install it right now. It will have to wait since it is nearly 1 am and I have a brunch tomorrow morning. Sounds all important doesn't it? What I was going to say about Lorne was he sent me a really funny Shampoo game thing. I forget what it is called now. I couldn't understand what he had called it either.
I've discovered the benefits of AOL Radio. I got bored yesterday and logged into AOL. I like that it is streaming unlike Napster which I have to select the songs as it doesn't autoplay or autoselect. I like that function about Launch.com, but it has too many commercials since it is free and lately it has been locking up on me. AOL is more like launch.com, but so far I haven't run into the problems of the same songs coming up. I'm finding Trance is getting on my nerves again. I need to download those good songs from my old computer to this one. They were the good trance songs. I like AOL Radio because it has a nice nature channel. I'm currently listening to Jungle River.
JC was on Open House Party. He didn't sound too lispy. I might have even liked his Some Girl song, but I saw the video first and that ruined it for me. Strangely the video is no longer on launch.com. Like Outkast's Hey Yeah.
Doug Demott brought in magazines today. He brought me a fish magazine!!! I was so happy to finally have a magazine about my hobby. Usually he brings in Birds and Cat Fancy. No Dog Fancy and no fish magazines. This time it had fish. Talked about Tiger Barbs. It suggests keeping them in schools of 7-8. I could definitely fit that many into my 29 gallon tank, but I now have a school of 10-14 long finned leopard and zebra danios. I also have a nice little school of 5 Black skirted Tetras in the 10 gallon. I don't really think I can handle keeping Tiger Barbs. They are too aggressive towards the types of fish I like to keep. Strangely it mentioned that danios can be aggressive when kept alone. That was weird. I should mention that Tiger Barbs like to be schooled, but this fellow (it's a male. Dark orange markings which are nearly red at times) killed off the three other barbs I had in the 10 gallon. He seems to enjoy being the dominant fish of the tank and there are enough danios that they can school and confuse him so he can't single out one to pick on. I don't know about that magazine saying they aren't homecidal. He seems pretty bent on eating that one fish's gills.
