The internets!

Well I was out the internet since Friday. It was slightly annoying, but not as bad as it could have been. We got to bed at a fairly decent hour instead of staying up until 4 am playing WoW.

Friday I helped my mom with some Home Interiors stuff. I really like the stuff they have in their catalogue! But I'm on a budget so I can't get into that right now. I had a good time. And talked with her friend, Jackie a lot.

Then later she had heart palpatations and they had to take her to the hospital. She spent the night there and was released on Saturday. So I picked her up, brought her home and filled out her prescription. Just low potassium, thank the Lord. I was worried it was something worse. So more bananas and spinach for her!

Since we didn't have the internet, we got caught up on a lot of our shows and we watched movies. We finally saw the Ballad of Ricky Bobby. I really don't like that they always release their movies to DVD in the Unrated version. I'm just fine with the PG-13 version. I thought Anchorman was so much funnier because he didn't cuss except that one time. I thought it made the cussing stand out better. But apparently, they feel the need to have lots of those words in there. Ricky Bobby was alright. It was funny in parts and completely stupid in other parts. We also saw the Illusionist. The Prestige was the one we wanted to see, but I've only heard people talk about the Illusionist so we rented it. It was awesome! I really enjoyed it. I wasn't bored for 1 minute. I was on the edge of my seat really enjoying the show. I almost didn't see the twist ending, but then I read the by-line again on the DVD cover. Its funny because I didn't think I'd like it with Jessice Biel in it. I really enjoyed her false teeth! They made her look like someone else and I wasn't thinking "That's Jessica Biel" the whole time. And Edward Norton was awesome.

We also watched For Your Consideration. Not as funny or poignant as a Might Wind or Waiting for Guffman. Christopher Guest had a great wig in this one! I really enjoyed that part. It just had a lot of Hollywood jokes that some people might not get. Like "What does the producer do?" and the answer was that they don't do much of anything. But I think Matt may be interested in A Mighty Wind since I said it made me cry and several other people too.

Lastly, we rented Man of the Year. That was also very funny. I enjoyed it. Robin Williams' character is funny, but he has morals. He's practically a boy scout in it. Lewis Black is actually not horrible. And Christopher Walken was funny as always. I liked that it wasn't just a funny movie though, it had a plot. There was something going on other than comedy and poking at politics.

It's March the 5th. It's my old friend's birthday. I had a dream that for her birthday she got a very large Black Greyhound. And it got along with the cat, which greyhounds can have trouble with. They chase rabbit-like objects on the track so sometimes they aren't very good with small animals. Also the company she works for sponsored the radio station I listen to on Saturday in honor of its 25th anniversary. So she's been on my mind recently. I also bumped into another former friend in Wal-mart the other day. He still doesn't like me. But that's how it goes. Oddly, one of the last things I remember him saying to me was that I was a lost little girl. I was thinking about that. And he was so right, but not for the reasons he thought. Here I was, trying to be this person with these morals. But my morals were coming from a life that I was trying so hard to break free of, trying and failing. And now I can see just how lost I was. So he was right.

I've been praying for more Christian friends and for an accountability partner. I was really enjoying my conversations with Jackie because she's very mature in her faith. I told her some things that I hadn't told my mom. I'd like to find someone my age like that. Not neccessarily as mature as Jackie. But someone that I could talk to.

I finally hung curtains my bedroom. They look very, very nice. I'm really very happy with how they turned out. They are black out curtains so the sun won't be coming through and waking us up.

I guess that's all the randomness I'll throw into this entry.

I thought you fell off the face of the Earth
