Got back earlier this evening from a day's worth of Scrapbooking up in Pigeon Forge. Had a fun time scrapbooking and will look back on this day with more fondness than it actually deserves, not due to my company, but due to other events which were a bit of a letdown.
Tomorrow is a tea. A high tea. An English high tea. I'll be dressing up fancy-like. For it is a hat club meeting! Yay. And an anniversary. I have to go wrap my presents up!
Not much of a first entry for the year, but get over it. Started the new weight loss competition/diet/thing on the second. The race is on to see who will lose the most weight by June 1st. I'm finding having a vivid imagination is quite helpful. Whenever I feel hungry, I imagine I've just stuffed myself with my favorite food. Whichever it is that I am craving. I find this works because upon examination, my body is not in fact so thin that it should feel like it is starving. But no, the diet itself is not starvation. I'm eating more than I usually do and being much more active than usual. Thus metabolism is up and so is my body's craving for food so as to maintain current weight. No such luck, ol' pal!
Anyway, I'm watching the Princess Bride. It has been a while since I've viewed it. But only due to always missing it on the tv and being too cheap to actually purchase it on DVD. My mistake. I had no idea that Inigo was played by Mandy Patinkin. This was a real delightful discovery. I always loved the way that Spaniard spoke. And now I see why I loved the way Rube spoke on Dead Like Me which has lead to me following Mr. Patinkin's career and lead to a love of Criminal Minds. It does help that the show isn't half bad and leaps and bounds better than watching Horatio Over Acting Caine. I mean... I used to be Number 1 Fan Horatio! But you don't even work anyway. Enough with that tangent though. I was delighted to see Mandy in the movie. And I guessed it was Christopher Guest as the Count based on voice. That man really is the master of disguising himself. I had to double check on imdb to make sure it was him. I need to get this movie on dvd though. It's so fun!
But I'm Replay TVing the movie so the sooner I say good night to you lovely folks and get back to the show, the sooner I can wrap my present and then get some sleep! So good night folks!
