You know I never tire of the subject
Sunday, September 12th, 2004 10:34 amHave I mentioned that I bought a minicassette recorder? I went out and bought it yesterday. I was thinking I'll bet actors are like "Damn, do I sound that retarded?" Eventually they move past, sure, but I wonder if David Caruso doesn't go "Man, Horatio Caine sure pauses a lot." Oh well. H is such a bad ass.
I wish I were at home right now so I could access my CSI links and so I could make an icon. I'm looking for screencaps from the MIA NYC Nonstop episode. Horatio disappearing into the crowd was great.
So let's talk MIA NYC Nonstop. But before we do, let me say that I am finally caught up on Miami. I'm debating on watching the Season Finale or waiting to see it on Monday. Hence this pause as I write an LJ entry. Anyway, MIA NYC Nonstop was great! Well put together. I love how NYC is seen as a Blue city. Miami is more blacks and reds and oranges. Which is why Horatio Caine works so well--being a red head and all. And Gary Sinise is perfect for NYC with the dark hair. I don't know color Vegas is. I was thinking the color boring, but I had some trouble finding that color in my Crayola 100 Crayon set so I wasn't sure. David Caruso is so modest saying that Miami could never compare to Vegas. Being one of the hardcore fans, I say compare and stop wasting my time with Vegas. But that's just me. Definitely saw the NYC plot as a homecoming for David Caruso. He fit right into the NYC background. It definitely makes me want to see that first season of NYPD Blue. Wish I hadn't grown up in such a conservative household sometimes. It's not that conservative anymore, but my mom used to screen all of the tv shows and movies especially ones she'd heard negative things about. NYPD Blue was a definite target ten years ago for its violence and nudity. I never saw The Nightmare Before Christmas either and you know what a movie buff I am. It killed me missing those references. I've seen it now and it's a movie I'd like to catch again. I really need to sign up for NetFlix again or the new Blockbuster service, I'm kind of holding out on Hollywood video to catch up because I prefer them to Blockbuster. I hate Blockbuster. Anyway, I thought Horatio looked silly in the NYC gear though. A trenchcoat? Damn, H! Have you been holding out on us with your Neo gear? I'm so disappointed that you haven't shared sooner. "Here you go sweetheart" wear my coat and wait for me in my car. SO CUTE! It hurts me with how sacchrine that is. Mac Taylor is Gary Sinise's character. I noticed he's married. That should be interesting. I was glad they didn't jump the buildings after their suspect. Horatio looks much cooler and much more bad ass with his gun out. Very commandingand drool-worthy. I loved the high fiving at the end between the two detectives. And the fading into the crowd. That's so Horatio. Kept with the feel of the show very nicely.
Let's move on from that episode because I'm running out of coherency and turning into rambling. Though as a final comment, Horatio said the killer sneaked in. I prefer to say snuck in. Have I ever mentioned that I love the way Alexx Woods is completely non-regional or cultural with her diction until she says "fount," "kilt," and there was another, but it's evaporated from my memory. In context: Look what I fount. They kilt this guy for money. I just love that about her.
The Oath I hate and love this episode in the same breathe. Oh the pain on his face. And how they let that sink in. Just played it and milked it. Loved that. So horrible. I'm glad Stetler is doing an IAD investigation on him. It was long overdue. He's done a few things that were worth looking into. Nothing that'll get him into trouble that we know of yet, but the DNA test on Madeline should come up. I'm wondering if that won't be a confrontation between the two. This season he's supposed to tell Yelina about the kid. Wonder if Stetler lets him do the right thing. The look on his face when she said he had a daughter and he never told her about it and that made it hard to trust him. He was thinking about telling her. I don't think it would make a difference. She told him she cared about him. He had his chance. He just couldn't do it. I realize it's completely his fault, but I still feel for him. Expect loyalty to ensue since I think the man has his priorities straight. IAD reminds of The Shield which will be back some time next year, I believe. Such a shame to wait that long for a show that only has 13 episodes. At least Season Three had 16. Maybe they'll give us more this time around, but without the big network support it might not happen. Who cares? I love CSI: Miami more than I love The Shield. NEVER thought that would happen since Miami was only supposed to tide me over for the long gap in-between. But Horatio trumps Lem any day of the week. It seems I may have a soft spot for Florida too. I will write that Florida entry.
I think I will watch the finale. I just can't resist. I must know what happens.
Oh one more thing, Money for Nothing was awesome! I'd seen that one before, but I hadn't caught that Yelina knew Susie and H were apartment hunting. That's just a double slap to the face when Yelina sees Madison kiss Horatio on the cheek. And you know she saw. She's good like that. I love how Horatio isn't ashamed of them and yet I know that's exactly why Yelina can't trust him. It seems like he's parading them around in front of her. I'll really miss the scenes where the tension was so thick between those two you could see it. No...wait... I think it's still there. I saw the way she couldn't tell him that what was between them was complicated. Hope lingers on! Keep false hope alive. So I'm told by Lewis Black.
Here's a hint about the subject line, I never tire of talking about this subject.
