When the world falls in love!

And because I love this time of year, I've brought you some songs, some videos of songs, and some cheerfully festive icons! This one is Tucker the Christmas Corgi.

Every song you hear seems to say "Merry Christmas!"

So we'll start off with my favorite performance piece: Wizards in Winter. It all began with that video of the electrical engineer's house. Then last year, our church did a rendition which quickly became my favorite part of the story!

I chose this one because it is a YouTube video. All of these guys are in a band, but the band lives across the country so they can't just meet up at someone's house. Instead they recorded their parts and then someone edited all of the pieces together.

Next up... Christmas Waltz. I have the Frank Sinatra version, the Doris Day version and I know it is blasphemy to say, but my favorite version is Michael W Smith! It is just the perfect blend of tempo and orchestra. I wouldn't give up my Sinatra or Doris Day.

I chose the video of Clay Aiken. He sounds nearly really close to how I would imagine Cam Clarke would sound if he sang this song. (I won't go on a Cam Clarke tangent, but I will do an aside that we finally watched the original dub of Akira and Cam does nearly all of the characters. On many occasions, he is talking to himself. He also does a lovely version of Christmastime Is Here.)

After that lovely song, I decided to give Frank another shot at making the list. So here he is singing "I Believe." I love this little song. It's just so catchy.

I picked this video because it's like the Wizards in Winter one except to "I Believe!" I love when everything turns green because he believes in 4-leafed clovers.

Next up, Dean Martin AND Frank Sinatra. I think Dean originally sang the song, but there's the Christmas Special with the both of them singing it. I even found a version sung by Bing Crosby, but as much as I love the Crosby especially for Christmas songs that one isn't him.

I liked this video because it's just plain cute.

You're a Mean One, Mr Grinch. Nothing wrong with the Boris Karloff version. That's a classic and you just can't touch a classic.

However, Mr Carrey does a lovely rendition. He made the perfect Grinch.

And now I've come to the end of the songs that I'll link cuz it's nearly 4 AM! Plus my Ipod with my playlist in its entirety is in the other room and it's really too late to be going to get it, plugging it in, waiting for it to load just so I can make sure I didn't leave any really important songs out.

This list is by no means comprehensive. "Baby It's Cold Outside" didn't make the list. No Bing and no Elvis. Tennessee Christmas isn't even on here. But that just leaves plenty of room for MORE entries like this!

Cause. That's. What. I. Happen to believe!
