Breaking the silence...

Well I've been kind of quiet the past couple of weeks. For about 4 or 5 months, I have been planning on buying my husband a German Shepherd Puppy. I made the vow that we would have a German Shepherd this year.

So May or June, I found out that the breeder in which I had the most interest was going to have puppies in August. Which set a plan in motion. A plan the ended today in the culmination of a brand new German Shepherd puppy gracing our home.

And boy is he a low one! He can howl really well. He's so small! I'm really enjoying how tiny he is because I know this won't last very long at all. He weighs 8.7 pounds right now which is half Kira's size. I'm sure when everything is said and done, his HEAD will weigh as much as she does.

Matt named him "Chakotay." Tuvoc wasn't right. Tom Paris was too bland. Cisco was too technical. Odo would never have worked. Ensign Kim wasn't right. Nor was Picard. And EMH seemed illogical.

I pulled it off! I planned bringing a puppy home and I managed to actually surprise my husband! Score!
