My dog ran off last night during all of the celebration for the 4th. The dogs were at my inlaws while I went to work. They went downtown to see the fireworks and when they got back, Kira was gone.

They looked for her for 3 hours. I looked for about an hour when I got home from work. I just feel sick and anxious. Putting out flyers and an ad in the paper and checking with local shelters. Going back to ask around the neighborhood.

I know how scary that is, it happened to me several times growing up. The dogs always came back eventually but I did lose several cats, presumably to coyotes.

I really really hope she comes back soon!

Thanks, Anye. Me too. I'm mostly worried because she wasn't AT HOME when she got lost. And it is kind of an affluent neighborhood so I'm worried someone will decide to keep her. :(

We hung up a ton of fliers, put them in mailboxes, took out an ad in the paper. So I'm hoping someone calls or she figures out how to get back.

She knows where home is, but does she know where the inlaws' house is? Sigh! I hope she turns up soon. I got like 3 hours of sleep last night.
