I had some weird dreams last night. I always have weird dreams the husband would say.

But this one was pretty weird. There was some kind of a family gathering going on in an unsavory neighborhood. It was pretty much in like a slumtown. The whole town was a dangerous place to be so here we were at this crowded hotel, worrying that our car would be broken into or that we'd end up a victim of some sort.

And then it turns out we were there for my grandfather's funeral. Now my grandfather died in 1993, but it's one of those things that happened so long ago my mind has trouble clearly remembering the details that it is curous about. At the time, it was awfully strange for me to look at the corpse in the casket. I hadn't seen my grandfather in several months. He was 56 when he died of brain cancer. And we saw him every summer. So it was all sort of surreal and odd. As all funerals can be. But now that it's over, I want to have heard what they were saying. I want to look closer at the casket. Well in this dream, we were doing the embalming! It was totally weird. Or assisting the funeral director. Who had chopped the body into three "manageable" pieces. And he'd left the stubble on my grandfather's face. I guess he didn't want shave him? I don't know. Like I said it was wierd.

It gets worse. So some family on my husband's side were getting married at the same time in the same town as the funeral. And the wife was pregnant! And she just happened to give birth at the same time. But the weird part was that my mother-in-law (who totally wouldn't be like this) told me that I had to be happy for the new mother and that it was tradition to go to the wedding rather than the funeral. Apparently we couldn't reschedule either and I would be forced to be happy and miss my grandfather's funeral. Then adding to the weirdness, my husband was all "What's wrong with you?" He didn't know about any of what was going on, but I'm upset and don't feel like dealing with any of it.

Then everyone leaves and I'm trying to drive back home which happens to be 5 hours away. With my sister and my mom. Only my truck is gone. And we can't find my mom's car either. So we end up driving my sister's (non-existent) car.

That was pretty much the entire dream. Totally weird. It pretty much ends with me trying to figure out what happened to the truck. Trying to decide if I need to report it stolen or if I just parked it somewhere and forgot where. Or if it's in the parking lot and I just can't see it.

Some guy just came by the house and knocked on the door. Now I'm just hanging out right now, getting some chores done so I'm not dressed for company. And of course, when you knock on the door, our German Shepherd goes crazy! And we have a crack in the bottom where the dog one day attacked the door out of boredom or wanting to get ou. We had to remove the rubber seal thing and haven't replaced it yet. So he can smell outside and determine if it's someone he wants coming into the house or not. So I'm trying to decide if I want to get dressed into something more appropriate, put the dog up somewhere that he won't try to eat this guy. Which will be a pain in itself since he won't want to leave the door. Go get my dog out of her travel kennel to which I'm trying to acclimate her so I have some kind of dog protection. And I'm trying to find a brush to fix my hair. Well he decides to ring the doorbell. I figure he's pretty determined so I start trying to get things in order so I can answer the door. When he decides, he's going to leave and gets into a minivan passenger side and it drives away. That was totally weird. I thought maybe he was some guy wanting to mow the lawn. But now I'm thinking what the heck was that.

The little dog is so cute in her traveling kennel. I bought this thing for .99 on ebay. The shipping brought the total to $30. But it's a nice nylon one in a burgundy-red color. I've got her blanket in there and she's just snoozing away. Haha I turned around and she was sleeping with her paws up. I've had it in the computer room where she has three crates(!!!). A small travel one which we will use in the car. A large one which she used to stay in while we were at work. And the new one. This one is for our vacation. I don't want to use the teeny one if we're going to be gone for hours during the day. But anyway, I had this one out and she went into it on her own and snuggled into her blanket and took a little nap. It was very cute.

Ooo, I got the coolest Ipod accessory yesterday. A wireless radio transmitter for the car (and home). Matt got me the car adapter with base for Christmas when he got me the Ipod which was totally awesome planning on his part. I would never have thought of that if I were buying it myself. But it's a little bit bulky in most situations. It pops out of the cigarette lighter on the truck. And it's in an awkward position in the car. Well this is a sexy, sleek little card that plugs into the bottom of the Ipod and you can plug a regular car charger into the bottom of that. It's awesome! It's perfect for an Ipod. And it works on the home radio too so I can listen to my music on our entertainment center now when I'm doing housework.

Well I'm going to scoot to Best Buy and pick up a new headset to match mine for the husband. His mic is a bit too sensitive (aka it picks up my typing when he doesn't have it on push to talk).

Our internet is being spooty. It is working in bursts and is being totally annoying.

I think there's a kink in the cables!
