If you don't play World of Warcraft, skip this entry.
So, I did it. I finally wussed out of a group. It was a horrible Lower Black Rock Spire group. I just want my druid shoulders. They drop off of a fairly easy mob. (I wouldn't mind key pieces, but the husband already has the UBRS key so it isn't required.) Well I team up with someone who was looking for a group in Orgrimmar. It's a PUG, but how bad can it be? Well it's a questing PUG. So it's 5 man. LBRS is a breeze 10 man. I figured we could whiz through and maybe get another one. This group wipes 7 or 8 times. We have a 56 warlock in the group. He won't get out his succubus to seduce any of the mobs. They insist on getting the UBRS' key quest. They pull incredibly slowly.
OH! And no one else is familar with the place so they are relying on me. Relying on me, but not listening. I have to say three times that the key quest was where I was standing. And they STILL asked where it was. They asked without walking around trying to find me. So I make them all follow me to get it. Of course they don't have the seal so there isn't a quest for them. ARGH!!!
So.. I did it. I went Alt + Tab and ended the game. It'll look like I disconnected. And I don't have to go through another 2 hours to get through a zone which should be way way easy for a 10 man of 60s.
In other WoW news, I missed the MC raid last night. Cramps were just really bad. I couldn't sit at my desk for 5 hours. But it wasn't a really good raid anyway. A lot of wipes due to hunters and mages pulling aggro off the main tanks. Also down 5 people from last week's no wipe run. Luckily no druid pieces dropped.
It's been a bad week for guild raiding. AQ 20 got bumped twice and then we wiped, wiped, and wiped. Didn't even kill the bug/egg boss. It's all part of the learning process, but it's really frustrating.
My Night Elf priestess is 42. I really enjoy playing a pretty class. She's my vanity character. I've worked up her cooking and her fishing. She's maxed on both. She's also a tailor, but not quite to mooncloth yet. She has a spotted kitty mount. A white kitten pet. A turtle orphan quest pet. And about 30 gold. Lots of blues and I'm just really proud of her.
Worked on my undead priest since I was "skipping" out on the raid last night. Got her up from 15 to 17. She's alright, but not as much fun as my NE priestess. Maybe when she gets more spells. But I doubt it. She's not really pretty like the NE.
I think I'll go visit with my mom for a bit now.

Date: 2006-06-12 03:24 pm (UTC)I hear you on bad PUGs. I've done the same thing and never looked back. I was in ULDA the other day where a rogue kept rolling need on things he didn't need...Like a piece of BoP cloth armor. RAWR!! I hate people. The rest of the group didn't care to kick him so I left.

Date: 2006-06-12 08:42 pm (UTC)UGH! I love PUGing around. You learn new strategies. But the chances of getting a bad PUG are pretty high.
