West Wing and Silent Hill
Friday, April 21st, 2006 07:51 pmNo spoilers. Just my impressions.
Finally watched this week's West Wing. The episode called Requiem. Definitely can tell Sorkin is no where to be seen with the writing. It was wrong and off. Mrs. Lanningham dies and we get a wonderful and powerful episode. John Spencer dies for real, no written out of scripts or written out of the show stuff, and we get this weird episode where it seems there's something between Jeb and Abby. And ... it wasn't enough to say goodbye to John. To Leo. Let alone the almost final episode of the show. The only reason I cried was because it was a funeral. I should have cried for other reasons. For seeing people have a sense of duty. For seeing people have courage in the face of adversity. They all just seemed old and tired.
Silent Hill was great! There were a few parts which... seemed a bit much. A bit graphic? But, it's Silent Hill. Besides, nothing wrong with being icked by that kind of stuff. It was exactly like the game. I was freaked out a bit. It was pretty intense and I left the theatre maybe a bit shell shocked. Nothing bad or crazy or insane. Just all of that adrenaline.
In other news, I quit my job and I've been reading CSI Fan Fiction
