At last... HBP
Friday, July 22nd, 2005 02:36 amOk, GAH! He died. I'm sad. I love my white wizard. Everyone had their favorites and loved the old man who had a sweet tooth with a broken nose, a retarded scar, favorites in the school, and a long beard with half moon spectactles.
I'm totally with
And Kreacher was in this! He was kicking on Dobby. But... I hate to admit it, but Dobby actually grew on me in this book. I was glad to see the little guy beating up Kreacher! Way to go, Dobs! I can't believe I switched sides like that, but I have to admit that shippy/non-angsty Harry makes me much happier and he's much more endearing.
Reading this book really had me thinking about Harry Potter and the D.I.C.K. Snape kicking the dog was awesome and I really enjoyed meatloaf covered Draco. Oh the days! I was waiting for Harry to discover his baby picture on Dumblydoor's desk. "Alas, Harry! Have you had a chance to rumage through my worldy possessions to find my most cherished picture of you as a baby?" But then I realized that I'd made that part up. I also was waiting for the scene where Harry snuck up on Snape trying to get into the headmaster's office and he'd shouted a million different muggle candies at the thing and he'd finally given up, but then I remembered that was also fiction, not canon.
And the shipping, the shipping, the glorious shipping! I read someone else saying that JK was really into those obscure ships. I really enjoyed all of the ships because they met up with what I wanted so hurry for me for getting what I wanted. Too bad no Rosier/McGonagall... because he's dead!! WHY!?!?!?!?! Mr Evil Mad Eye Moody. *sniff, sniff* Ah, the fond memories of PoA. The Dementors. Sarah and Anita. The poster. The Texas IHop in Atlanta.
I've been lurking in the other fandom journals. Good discussions there, but I'm a slow reader so...
I'm ready to roleplay now!

Date: 2005-07-22 04:54 pm (UTC)It'd be so much easier for him to be just plain evil. And there wouldn't be all of his silly fangirls writing angst AND POSTING IT! It's the posting it part that kills.
I knew you'd think of me. :) How could you not? I really appreciated the whole MWPP experience. All of that research into the time period and the characters really helped my understanding.
But did it appear then that at least one of the Lestranges and Avery would not have been at the school during MWPP?

Date: 2005-07-22 05:23 pm (UTC)But I think we always played with the timeline. When do you suppose Evan really went to Hogwarts?
Yes, we're still on a first name basis.

Date: 2005-07-22 07:04 pm (UTC)We definitely did play with the time line. We needed more characters. But Evan did go in the time frame we set up because he was seen with Snape. He just might not have been the age we decided upon. He and Snape were definitely buddies. And I was glad that he was there with Nott! I was like duh! Of course they were hanging out! But where was Rab? lol Is that wrong?
