Happy Halloween?

basildestinyThat's what I typed when I started filling in the subject line. I have no idea why I thought of it, but it's random enough to be left.
I finally watched CSI: Miami. I forgot to turn my VCR off and the stupid one I'm using one record unless it's turned off. So I had to download it and then it's been hectic around here so no time to watch it. But I love this episode! Horatio was awesome at the end as usual. And I agree that Eric Delko standing up was great! I also really enjoyed the music! The episode is all about racists who are sick of the Spanish population having their own culture and so all of the music is right out of that culture! I thought it was a great way to give the one finger salute to racists. Subtle and yet right in your face if you're paying attention. It's a pity that people without a culture have to take it out on people who have culture.
Listening to this episode reminded me of some of my favorite WCW wrestlers. WTF? WCW? I completely blame Russell and Niki and my littlest brother for getting me all excited about wrestling back in the day. I didn't like WWF because it's just about the shock value and preferred WCW, but Ted Turner is a fucker so oh well. But my favorites were Buff Bagwell because he was such a pretty boy. Ray Mysterio because he had some bad ass acrobatics in the ring and after he was unmasked he was hot! And Konnan! I still have my Konnan shirt, but I will confess that I am embarrassed to wear it. I also really liked DDP. That retarded Diamond move. Getting back to Konnan, I was really pissed that Kevin Nash kicked his ass and the whole Wolf Pack turned on him. Bastards! I loved him. And his whole Latino background with a little bit of thug. And the whole Navy look. I miss that fun sometimes. I still have my Konnan songs and had to listen to them after this episode.
Thanksgiving was great fun. It was sad to not be able to eat with my mom. She drives me crazy in that motherly way, but I love her a great deal and I know that she really enjoys cooking the Thanksgiving meal. But I got to eat with my best friend again this year. Last year I swung by and ate my second meal over there. This year I brought some food and some family and made our own family. It's been a great Thanksgiving. It's been nice to visit with my brother. It seems like every time he visits, he's running around a million places and I don't really get to sit down and talk to him. I watched Fog of War with him last night. It's nice to see that even as we grow, my siblings and I still think alike. We were all disturbed that McNamara says the US should never engage in unilateralism. That if we can't convince other countries that hold the same values we hold, we shouldn't be going to war. I came home from work (had to work a 4 hour shift) to find Fahrenheit 9-11 playing again.
In other news, I don't think I express how thankful I am for my friends sometimes. I get so caught up in the dissection and understanding that I forget that I just love these people.
