basildestiny: (Life is better together)
I had a really lovely weekend. It's amazing how relaxed I can be on a weekend that I know will be three days long.

I went out yesterday with the mother in law to her hat club meeting. I thought it was a scrapbooking thing instead of a hat club meeting. But I had a lovely time all the same. It was a Paris theme and we went to the Black Tie Bistro over on Turkey Creek. The food was lovely. We took pictures and all around a good time was had.

Then I went over to the shopping mall and picked some things up at Petsmart and Target.

After that, I came home and the husband and I went out to eat. Afterward we decided to do something with the dogs together as a family. So we went down to the Marina and went walking for a bit. It was very pretty.

We came home and he played a space video game. I watched some tv. Black. White and a Polar Bear documentary.

We went to bed on the early side. Or it would have been if we had remembered about Daylight Saving Time. We forget. Matt ended up being late to work.

Today we had severe weather. It was quite pretty out when my mom came by to pick me up. We took Kira out to go feed the ducks at the Marina. But there were a lot of folks there so instead we went to Milt Dickens Park in our old neighborhood. Then we drove up to the church to pick my sister up from her youth group meeting. It is so pretty up there. If I had thought about it, I would have taken a picture with the camera phone. You could see this storm rolling in. I knew it was going to start raining at 8 pm exactly. There was a 101 meeting at our Pastor's house that would get out at 8 pm. I knew God would keep the storm back until then. So sure enough, we start heading into town and it starts.

I ended up not doing any of my errands I have for today. I'll get up early tomorrow and get those done.

I decided that tonight I'd watch the new Hayoa Miyazaki film. I didn't know anything about this one. But found it in the rental place on Monday. It was due back Saturday, but I hadn't had a chance to watch it and it's Miyazaki. I'll pay a late fee for him any day!

Well this movie is awesome. Miyazaki's films always have a way to keep me not only captivated, but looking forward to the next challenge. To what is ahead. I'll probably put Spirited Away in and watch it later. If I don't watch this one again. It features the voices of Billy Crystal, Christian Bale (and he's very well cast), and Lauren Bacall. To name a few.

I also watched the latest trailer for X3. Looks like we'll have the Juggernaut! Anyone who has played on Lightninghoof or Argent Dawn knows about the guild Juggernaut. They think they're so hot. They aren't that great, they just have a lot of players and so they can roll anyone in pure number. It's hard to be as organized as they are. They aren't good, just large in size.

I always find God in peace and rest.
