Neopets!

Well I found neopets again. I always pop back by there during Christmas for my Advent calendar stuff, but that's usually it for the year.

I'd even stopped bothering to put the pets up for board in the hotels!

I used to play a lot when I first started at US Cellular. When we could play games during the down time between calls. When there actually was down time. But that's been over a year past since then.

I'm finding it newly addicting. It's something other than WoW to play. Plus I discovered galleries! Woohoo! I already had a plushie gallery on another account, but it was really a shop and I'm afraid some item of mine was purchased. Well no more because it has been converted to a gallery. On my main account, I have created a pet pet gallery. I really want to take that hobby back up of collecting pet pets. But they are so expensive.

I started coming back when I realized that I was missing out on some 30,000 neopoints a year in interest since I never collected! I was also surprised at the number of neopoints listed. I have no idea where all of those points came from. They are now safely nestled in the bank or else I've spent them.

I even managed to sit through an entire spin of Wheel of Monotony! I only won a Bri Codestone though. I was hoping for one of the more rare items. Still the spin was only about an hour and a half. Not as long as I'd heard they could take. I also won 10,000 points off of a one of the Terror Mountain scratchcards. So all of the winning has me psyched up. Of course, I have spent that. And the points I found in my shop till.

And I've got my sister playing again too. She's actually better than me at one of the games. I'm flabbergasted! But I will not be defeated so I will practice more.

I'm thinking about ditching one of my pets to upgrade for a newer model. But every time I contemplate this, I usually change my mind. I have put so much time into those pets. 'Just look at how old they are' I'll think. Plus they will lose their petpet time. True it would be nice to have new flashy pets. But is it worth losing out on all the effort? Yes! Sometimes I think it is. If only it were easier to change your pet's species.

Which reminds me that I am lab raying away. I spent so many neopoints on collecting all those pieces. I can't just let them go to waste!

Of course I'm too late to create a lutari which would have been an adorable pet

this has nothing to do with neopets (I don't even know what they are, actually), but I was watching "The Family Stone" (which is fairly terrinle as a movie) but Luke Wilson was in it and he had GREAT hair and I thought of you and how you would appreciate such a thing as great Luke Wilson hair.

You know I wanted to see that only for Luke. But I never did. Maybe I'll put it on the Netflix queue for the awesome hair.

In other news, I watched part of the Sorceror's Stone tonight. The bit where Snape gives his dramatic speech. They showed the version where Harry gets cheeky. I thought of the old days in the fandom.

I feel the sudden urge to call you 'Punky.' And refer to the estrogen brigade. Probably something to do with the fact that I just got up. Still working on the whole getting out of bed early thing.

Of course when you go to bed at 2 am, 10 can feel pretty early.

It is too addicting. And I'll just keep getting those addicted that I can. Gotta spin the wheel of monotony again and hope I win something better than garbage or losing half my pet's health points.
