Bas, I think that you must have those feeling and emotions still, even if they're locked deep inside you. After all, if it wasn't there, would you still be able to recognize all these things that you miss? I don't think they need to be remade... I think they need to be found. And you're finding them, by first recognizing that they're "gone."
I can't offer help for any of the family situations. But I wish I could. You still have friends, Bas, friends who love you like family...
