You know what makes me laugh the most about slash? People can write so eloquently, but not come up with another word for penis.

I don't find slash to be so bad anymore. I can understand your frustration, though. How hard it is to find a decent fic where no one gets naked. Makes it seem like the whole world just wants to FUCK FUCK FUCK. It used to make me uncomfortable when I was younger. But then I got laid. *shrugs*

Did you read this stuff? This particular brand was awful!! The characters were completely abused. Well, you wouldn't be able to notice their abuse, but I promise they are abused in the most horrible way. Ugh. It makes me disgusted.

It's not the sex that bothers me. It's really not. It's the proliferation of it. And it's really crappy! I do not understand it. Why do James and Sirius screw that like rabid rabbits when they could have any other girl? What in the world made them realize their true love for each other? Ugh! I do not see that JKR would write the characters this way. They wouldn't have these tendencies. Maybe some of the characters are gay. It's kind of like the stereotype that gays are perverts who are going to molest children. I saw a public service announcement from the 50's or 60's that portrayed gays as pedophiles. I'd just like some non sexual fiction. I have the same problem with Draco-Hermione pairings or Lily-Severus. And you know what else? I would have a problem seeing Dumbledore and McGonagall get it on. I love these characters and it would please me to no end to see them together. But there are details about these characters that haven't been told and romance doesn't always blossom from close friendships like the one they have. I really don't want to read about Dumbledore having sex. That is disgusting.

My real complaint, then, would be that I cannot find any good writing out there. Or the good writing that I find is tainted by slash. Which means that I have to get off my lazy butt and write my own fiction.
